As the protest left the VAG on Friday the 12 of Feb, there was an 2010 branded car directly in the way of the protest marchers. I took a quick shot and noticed the guy in the front seat seemed to be praying and then he got out and ran into the TD bank. Who is he? Why did he run? Who let them drive into the 4000-5000 person crowd? So this begs the question.

What the Fuck happened ? Did we not just spend more then a Billion dollars on security? Are the holes really this big? Could we not have taken the extra cops we saved, by putting the flame behind a fence, and assigned them to protection, or at least route planning for the 2010 VIP's?

Terrorism and the Owe limp ichs, Our Beijing

Canada's Criminal Code, describes a terrorist organization as any group that disrupts lawful activities to commit an act for political, religious or ideological purposes and that causes the public to be intimidated.

from the CCC: Definition of Terrorism,

(b) an act or omission, in or outside Canada,

(i) that is committed

(A) in whole or in part for a political, religious or ideological purpose, objective or cause, and

(B) in whole or in part with the intention of intimidating the public, or a segment of the public, with regard to its security, including its economic security, or compelling a person, a government or a domestic or an international organization to do or to refrain from doing any act, whether the public or the person, government or organization is inside or outside Canada, and

(ii) that intentionally

(A) causes death or serious bodily harm to a person by the use of violence,

(B) endangers a person’s life,

(C) causes a serious risk to the health or safety of the public or any segment of the public,

(D) causes substantial property damage, whether to public or private property, if causing such damage is likely to result in the conduct or harm referred to in any of clauses (A) to (C), or

(E) causes serious interference with or serious disruption of an essential service, facility or system, whether public or private, other than as a result of advocacy, protest, dissent or stoppage of work that is not intended to result in the conduct or harm referred to in any of clauses (A) to (C),

...so it would appear to me that Vanoc and IOC organizations, fit this description. Moreover, if our tax dollars are being given to these groups, do we not become ensnarled in their terrorist label? Can we be held guilty because our money is supporting their actions.

Forget about your car. Get on board one of the various water transit craft plying the local Vancouver waters. Small ferries service False Creek and bigger ships move people from Bowen Island to Vancouver. Try a new twist on an ancient tradition: High speed passenger ferries! Where else can you travel into and around a major metropolis by water? Sydney, Australia, they carry millions of people every year and offer a wonderful alternative to the environmentally harmful car.

Quickest delivery

In keeping with the tradition of an all inclusive POOlymipics, we will also award medals in the ‘Special” category for oldest deposit, fullest depend diaper and catheter coloring.

In order to keep these games clean and transparent, all participants will undergo rigorous qualification rounds , which fortunately can be conducted at home, to ensure that the caliber of the games remain world class.

POO Lympics

Turds for the people. That is what BC Liberals have to offer the BC population by their continued ignorance of the discharge of raw human waste into the Victoria harbour. So come to the Poo lympics and express your self by excreting yourself. If the whole city can Poop into the harbour without any ramifications, why not have the whole world come and do the same. The events will start on the opening day of the Owe limp pics and continue throughout the 5 ring circus.

Aloha; Hello and Goodbye

After spending some 20 days at sea I have found out some things about myself and others that will take me some time to process. After twenty days with no sight of land we saw the most amazing sunrise as we passed Port Renfrew on Vancouver Island. The boat is a J120 which is fast, fast and did I mention fast!
